Read-only and Edit modes

Opening Flows, Language Objects or Entities

Flows, Language Objects and Entities can be opened in read-only or in edit mode.

  • Read-only mode when opening Flows, Language Objects and Entities in read-only mode, the user will not be able to edit them. All the edit options will be disabled and text boxes will be read-only.

    To open Flows, Language Objects or Entities in read-only mode, the user can either double-click them in the list or just select them and click Open in the top ribbon. Alternatively, right-click the item to open and select Open in the context menu.

    This mode is the best option when the user just want to open Flows, Language Objects or Entities to take a look at them.

  • Edit mode if the user needs to edit a Flow, Language Object or an Entity, the item needs to be opened in edit mode.

    To open Flows, Language Objects or Entities in edit mode, select them from the list (in the Solution Explorer) and click Edit in the top ribbon. Alternatively double-click while pressing the Alt key, or right-click the item and select Edit in the context menu.

    When Flows, Language Objects and Entities are opened in edit mode, they will be locked and other users will not be able to edit them until the lock is released.
