Moving and copying

Organize Objects and Flows

Teneo Studio allows to move and copy Flows, Language Objects and Entities in order to organize the Solution Explorer view per project needs; e.g. adding all project-specific Language Objects in one specific folder or adding a Folder tree structure to contain all the different Flows separated by different areas of knowledge.

The Flows, Language Objects and Entities can be moved and copied from one folder to another, and it is also possible to move and copy folders.

Note: When Flows, Entities, and Language Objects are copied, their Document Number will be changed as the object will be treated as a new object within the solution.

Within the same solution

Moving

To move objects from one folder to another, select the object(s) to be moved (to multi-select hold down Ctrl while selecting with the mouse) and use the Cut button available in the top ribbon of Teneo Studio in the Edit area, next select the destination folder and click the Paste button in the top ribbon. Alternatively, it is possible to drag the object(s) and drop them onto the wanted folder.

Copy from another folder

To copy objects from one folder to another, select the object(s) to be copied (to multi-select hold down Ctrl while selecting with the mouse) and use the Copy button available in the top ribbon of Teneo Studio in the Edit area, next select the folder where the copy should be done (this can be either the already opened folder or another folder), click the Paste button in the top ribbon. The object(s) are now copied to the destination.

Copy within folder

It is possible to create a copy of a Flow, Language Object or Entity within the same folder by pressing the Ctrl key down while dragging and dropping the object into the already selected folder. Alternatively, click the Copy and Paste buttons available in the top ribbon of Teneo Studio.

Note that the copied object(s) will be renamed by adding a "_x" suffix after the kernel name (where "x" is a sequential number starting with 1).

From another solution

To copy a Flow, Language Object or Entity from another solution into the one currently open, go to the Search tab in the top of the Teneo Studio window and search for the objects using the Search All Solutions options.

In the list of search results, select the object(s) to be copied (to multi-select press Ctrl while selecting with the mouse), then click Copy in the top menu (in the Edit section of the top ribbon), select the destination folder and click Paste (again in the top ribbon). Alternatively, it is possible to drag the objects and drop them onto the wanted folder.
